Help us raise money for Giyu's medical treatments such as doctor's visits, medicine, and operations.
Giyu was admitted to Emergency Services at his local veterinarian for evaluation of a swollen and blood-filled left eye and bodily trauma of unknown cause. He was found outside on the morning of July 20, 2021 with a bulging, swollen red eye and a bloody nose unknown if it was a dog bite, vehicle injury or attacked by another person.

Giyu's physical exam proved that his left eye had severe trauma and blood within. The area was very swollen painful to the touch. Giyu also had blood coming from both nostrils and when his mouth was examined, it was painful when opening, with suspected fracture to his jaw. Giyu also had multiple abrasions on all of his limbs with his abdomen tense and painful upon palpation. Giyu underwent a procedure to suture his left eyelid shut in an attempt to save his eye. It is unsure whether Giyu will be able to see with the affected eye.
There's No Place Like Home
Giyu was in the care of his local veterinarian and was not able to arrive home until the evening of the incident. Before Giyu came home, he was in so much pain and was thrashing about due the severe trauma he experienced. His doctor recommends he stay home to heal and for him to undergo more treatments, medicine, operations, etc. as they see fit.

Giyu's journey is not over yet. Currently, his owners, Geofrey and Precious are monitoring him in hopes that he can fully recover. His vet bills projected total is about $3,000-$6,000 for doctor's visits, medicine, and operations needed.
