The day the tragedy happened..

This is Giyu in a box.

"Giyu got hurt, babe. He's covered in slobber, his nose is leaking blood, his left eye is huge and he has cuts everywhere! I'm gonna take him to the emergency right now." -Geofrey

Giyu Escaped But He Came Back Badly Injured.

On July 20, 2021: Giyu was found outside his home while his parents were at work. From what was told amongst his family members, he was nowhere to be seen that morning. But remarkably, he was able to come back home on his own! Giyu's grandpa (Precious' dad) saw him outside!! At first he looked fine but then Giyu's grandma (Precious' mom) saw that his eye was blood-shot and was the size of a golfball. They even noticed that he was drooling uncontrollably and had cuts everywhere. Giyu's grandma said, "Oh Giyu! What happened to you boy?!" as she held him in her arms.

Giyu's dad, Geofrey, arrived home and was told the news. He then frantically called Giyu's mom, Precious. Although she was still at work, Geofrey needed to tell her what happened.

Giyu was rushed to the nearest vet but unfortunately it was a long wait time at one location. So, he needed to be driven to another location and thankfully they were able to take Giyu in within 20 minutes.

At the vet, Giyu had to undergo multiple tests and examination to check on his wellbeing. He stayed in the hospital until the evening and was sent home with a temporary suture to his left eye in an attempt to save it. He was also given medication to help with his pain. It is still unsure whether Giyu would be able to see through the affected eye but hopefully the swelling will go down once we check back to the ophthalmologist in a few weeks.
